RSTickets! is a helpdesk ticketing system designed as an extension component for the Joomla! content management system (CMS).
Because we have pre-integrated Joomla! into our CogniDox Extranet solution, RSTickets! is one option available for use. We tend to recommend RSTickets as suitable for web sites with a mix of authenticated and unauthenticated users (e.g. some documents are publicly available, some are only available to registered users).
RSTickets is a simple but effective solution. It has arguably a better, more graphical user interface than OTRS but it lacks the equivalent level of functionality. For example, CogniDox does not provide Licensee ticket counts for RSTickets because the latter doesn't support customer grouping in the way that OTRS can do.
