Online learning is a great idea at a time when credit crunch survival is paramount. The obvious saving is in the reduced cost of travel, but we think the real advantage is that it's the best way to get busy experts to share their specialist knowledge. That makes for learning opportunities that just would not otherwise exist. It's also great for the learner - they serve themselves to the knowledge in their own time and at their own pace.
But many companies that have tried to augment or replace their face-to-face training with online learning have found that it isn't straightforward. Content can be difficult to produce, keep current and the delivery of video over wide area networks is claimed to be more complex than it sometimes needs to be.
By adding support for video content (plus an embedded video player to view) to Cognidox we've made it as easy for video screencasts to be managed as any other presentation or design note.
