Cognidox Announces Head of Business Services Transition as New Phase of Growth Unfolds

Written by Cognidox | 13 Apr, 2026

Cambridge, UK — [13 April 2026] — Cognidox, a leading provider of document and quality management solutions for regulated and high-tech product development environments, today announces the appointment of Jamie Logan as Head of Business Services. Jamie succeeds Simon Roberts, who is stepping down from the role after five years.

Following Cognidox’s acquisition by Recur Software in 2025 and the start of a new growth phase for the company, the planned transition ensures continuity for customers and partners, with no changes to existing relationships, service delivery, or account management.

Recognising Simon Roberts’ contribution

Simon Roberts has played an instrumental role in Cognidox’s growth to date, helping strengthen its position in the medical device and high-tech sectors. He has worked closely with customers who manage complex product development and regulatory requirements, supporting their teams as they implement more structured and scalable approaches to document and quality management.

Reflecting on his time at Cognidox, Simon said:

“It’s been a privilege to work with such a strong team and a highly engaged customer base over the last five years. Cognidox solves real, practical problems for organisations developing complex products, and I’m proud of the role I’ve played in helping customers find success with the platform. The company’s future is bright, and I look forward to seeing it go from strength to strength in the safe and capable hands of the new management team.”

Cognidox thanks Simon for his contribution and wishes him a restful sabbatical and every success in his future endeavours.

Welcoming Jamie Logan as Head of Business Services

Reflecting the company’s continued commitment to supporting engineering and quality teams in regulated, fast-growing environments, Cognidox welcomes Jamie Logan as Head of Business Services.

Jamie brings a wealth of experience helping organisations navigate the challenges of scaling product development, maintaining compliance, and managing critical documentation.

On his appointment, Jamie commented:

“I’m very pleased to be joining Cognidox at an exciting stage in its development. The company has built a strong reputation for supporting companies that need to balance compliance, control, and speed of innovation.

“Cognidox’s practical, customer-focused approach helps teams solve real operational challenges without introducing unnecessary complexity. I’m looking forward to working closely with customers and building on the strong foundations already in place.”

Continued focus on customer success

Reflecting on the transition, Alexander Thomson, Cognidox CEO, said:

“I would like to thank Simon for his contribution to Cognidox and for the commitment he has shown during his time with the business. He has helped build strong customer relationships and supported an important period of the company’s growth.

I’m also very pleased to welcome Jamie to the team. Jamie’s experience and customer-focused approach make him a strong fit for Cognidox, and I look forward to working with him as we continue to strengthen and elevate the business for our customers.”

Cognidox remains committed to helping organisations maintain control of their product development documentation, supporting their compliance and quality management efforts overall.

The platform’s capabilities are proven in highly regulated, high-growth environments, where robust, formalised development processes are key to scalable growth amidst compliance, traceability, and control complexities.

Continuity for customers

This leadership change does not affect Cognidox’s product direction, support model, or customer engagement approach. Cognidox will continue prioritising long-term investment in its platform while maintaining the stability, compliance focus, and support that customers rely on.

Jamie Logan will be engaging with customers and partners over the coming months and looks forward to building on the strong relationships already established by Simon Roberts and the Cognidox team.
